The Continental Grand complex consists of two Class-A office six-story buildings. It is in the heart of El Segundo’s business district and offers impressive views of the mountain range. The office complex is four minutes from the Los Angeles International Airport and the 105 and 405 freeways.
With Continental Grand, our approach was to transform the daily experience of all office employees who step into the complex. Upon arrival, they are greeted with 5-story art murals that become the starting point to a pleasant and inspiring environment. We transformed the lobby experience by incorporating artwork that encourages creative thinking and creates a positive atmosphere.

Cultivating a healthy work environment is one of the most critical aspects of the 21st century. We currently rely on architecture to provide spatial qualities that transform the way we work. Office buildings are becoming hybridized to respond to the changing work modes of the new work era.
The colonnade promenade which connects the two-office buildings becomes the link between communal and private spaces scattered along the path. The exterior courtyard was adapted to serve the current generation that relies on mobile technology and outdoor workspace. Outdoor meeting spaces, putting green, ping pong table, corn hole, and communal outdoor spaces all work collectively to provide office employees with a unique, active experience.
